FS#252 - [dbus-python/python-dbus] mixup
packages (like upower) which include a dependency on python-dbus
use a 3.9 version and miss the correct one dbus-python (which
replaces python-dbus). This will only solve itself when upstream
adapts the PKGBUILDs to this name change.
python-pydbus
python-dbus
dbus-python
well.
doing some manual patching where needed (e.g. upower)
this appears to be the cause of a problem i had today, although that was i686, not pentium4
the polkit package fails at the check() function, with python complaining "module not found 'dbus'" - i forced it to install dbus-python instead, then the tests all passed
those two packages appear to be the same software; but dbus-python is a newer version - dbus-python provides 'python-dbus'; but the problem is that pacman prefers the package with the exact provides name 'python-dbus', unless you specify the provider explicitly 'dbus-python'
on x86_64, we have only dbus-python - my guess is that python-dbus need to be deleted, and everything would be swell
